The past couple of days have flown by.. We are learning how to use the underground as well as the bus routes..
Yesterday we went to the London Dungeon, which is like a London themed Haunted House. After the dungeon we went to Regents Street where all of the major shops are located; H&M, TopShop, major designer shops, and even a Ferrari store. We went into the oldest toy store in the world, was celebrating it's 250th birthday this year, Hamley's. Was incredibly huge and magnificent. We stopped by an icecream booth which had the most delicious, creamy, vanilla ice cream that also came with a Cadbury flake.
Yesterday, we also had the most amazzinnnggg cab driver - who was so sweet to us!
Today was filled with bus rides and museums. We first went to the British Museum where we saw the Rosetta Stone and part of the Sphinx, as well as part of the Parthenon.

We then walked down the street for a picnic lunch - which is a very popular English thing to do, especially in the midst of a heatwave.

We then walked the long trek to the British Library where we saw original manuscripts of Alice in Wonderland. We also saw a Gutenberg Bible. We also saw genuine documents by Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde, John Lennon, Beethoven, Freud, Darwin, and the original manuscript of Beowolf. It was really too wonderful to even describe.
After a long busride back, we went to the Natural History Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum.
Now, we are completely exhausted - and that is perhaps why this blog post is dragging : /

ReplyDeleteI just got back from the outer banks with my friend Katie and Im pooped now. I was only there for one night because her parents rented a house for the week.
